FLORIDA SEA LEVEL SCENARIO SKETCH PLANNING TOOL GIS DATA:
INUNDATION SURFACES IN RASTER FORMAT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This download file contains the following:

Zipped ESRI File GeoDatabase (FGDB) with Inundation Surfaces in ArcGIS 10.1 Raster Format.
These inundation surfaces were creating using the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
sea level change projection curves (as specified in USACE Engineer Circular EC 1165-2-12),
NOAA tide gauge data, and a 5-meter horizontal resolution Digital Elevation Model (DEM).
This FGDB includes bathtub model indundation surfaces and an enhanced inundation surface,
which applies a hydrologic connectivity filter to remove isolated inundated areas not connected
to a major waterway. For more information and full technical methods, please see the project
website:  http://sls.geoplan.ufl.edu

This FGDB contains multiple inundation surfaces (feature classes) for:
   - One time period
   - Three USACE sea level change projection curves
       H - High projection curve
       M - Intermediate projection curve
       L - Low/ Historic projection curve
   - Five tidal datums:
       MHHW - Mean Higher High Water
       MHW - Mean High Water
       MSL - Mean Sea Level
       MLW - Mean Low Water
       MLLW - Mean Lower Low Water
   - Inundation Model type: Bathtub model or hydro-connectivity model

NAMING CONVENTION OF THE FEATURE CLASSES IS AS FOLLOWS:
-------------------------------------------------------
Example feature class name:
D1_2040_H_MHHW_BATHTUB or D1_2040_H_MHHW

[DISTRICT]_[YEAR]_[PROJECTION CURVE]_[TIDAL DATUM]_[BATHTUB or N/A]

KEY:
   *DISTRICT - FDOT District (1-7) or Entire State

   *YEAR - Decade (2040, 2050, 2060, 2070, 2080, 2090 or 2100)

   *PROJECTION_CURVE - USACE projection curve
                     H = High
                     M = Intermediate
                     L = Low/ historic

   *TIDAL_DATUM - One of the five tidal datums:
                  MHHW - Mean Higher High Water
                  MHW - Mean High Water
                  MSL - Mean Sea Level
                  MLW - Mean Low Water
                  MLLW - Mean Lower Low Water

   *BATHTUB or N/A - BATHTUB = Bathtub inundation model
                   - N/A (BLANK) = Inundation model with hydrologic connectivity filter applied
                     (filters out isolated inundated areas not connected to a major waterway)

The number of inundation surfaces (feature classes) within each FGDB is not the same.
Some curves and tidal datums do not project enough sea level rise to constitute
inundation.
