FDOT Area of Interest Tool – Resilience Report

Description:

This training will introduce the Resilience Report, a screening tool for evaluating flood exposure for a user-specified area of interest.  The report currently summarizes exposure to current and future natural hazards, such as sea level rise, high tide flooding, storm surge, flood zones, and extreme heat.

Who Should Attend?

FDOT and MPO staff and consultants. The Resilience Report is available from the Environmental Screening Tool (EST) within the Area of Interest (AOI) tool. Currently, only existing AOI Tool users are able to request the Resilience Report, but new users can request access.  This training workshop is open to non-AOI users with interest in resilience. 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Demonstrate requesting and accessing the resilience report;
  • Describe natural hazard data sources and appropriate uses; and
  • Describe concepts regarding future natural hazards, such as high tide flooding, sea level rise, and extreme heat.
